Stability Comparison of The Screwed and Unscrewed Kirschner Wire Used in Supracondylar Humerus Fractures In Children: ANSYS 16.0 Finite Element Analysis

Objective: Supracondylar humerus fractures are the most common surgery requiring upper extremity among children. Kirschner Wire (KW) is one of important surgical method that smooth stainless steel pins, and widely used in orthopedics. The aim this study to evaluate stability difference supracondylar children by unscrewed screwed KW finite element analysis method.
 Material Methods: In study, computerized images patients who were admitted Orthopedics Traumatology department a Training Research Hospital with diagnosis pediatric fracture used. A bone model was created using layer 3D Slicer program version 4.10.2. On model, osteo-synthesis fixation performed Solid Works, K-wire mounting, divergent crossed. Afterwards, analyzed ANSYS 16.0 program.
 Results: All configuration measurements for forces found higher than both crossed torques.
 Conclusion: use K wire be superior due more stable fixation. During surgery, varies according surgeon's experience, type, ulnar nerve damage risk analysis.
